Creative direction of iPhone App for an established car magazine
Like many online publishers, NEWCARNET.co.uk aims to communicate with it’s audience in as many ways as possible. Since it’s launch back in 1997 providing motoring content to buyers and car enthusiasts alike, user demand for content has grown and mobile browsing has become increasingly important. With this in mind, Netro42 developed a fully-fledged application - or ‘App’ - catering for Apple’s popular iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad market.
The purpose of the App, currently available free through Apple’s iTunes Store, is to give users a bite sized dose of NewCarNet content which they can easily access on the move. The latest daily news is available along with car road tests, previews of forthcoming vehicles and streaming video (optimised for mobile viewing of course).
With an easy to use interface and intuitive controls, the App has met with positive reviews and encouraging user feedback. As part of NewCarNet’s commitment to it’s mobile audience, the App will be receiving regular updates offering more diverse content such as photo galleries.
