As part of a Mercedes-Benz advertising campaign, Top Gear commissioned Netro42 to create an online game based on the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment of the TV show.
Netro42 were asked to bring the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment of the Top Gear TV show to a digital audience
We photographed the Dunsfold test track which is used in the show and created a digital version allowing competitors to test their driving skills in the Mercedes C-Class which was the focus of the campaign.
We named the game Test Track Challenge and created advertising which challenged users to 'Best The Stig'.
We set up data capture to enable the fastest times to be entered into a high scores table and have prizes awarded to the top contestants.
The game was deemed a great success, so much so in fact, that Top Gear asked us to create a second version to support a Mazda RX-8 ad campaign.
